“Un día en el paraíso”

The island and the hotel are truly amazing. We had a beautiful villa overlooking Coco Island, and the beaches were paradise‑like; we were always alone there. The staff were friendly and professional, and we were lucky to get a free late check‑out until the helicopter pick‑up. On the downside, the coral reef is in much worse shape than it was five years ago, which is disappointing since snorkeling was a main reason for choosing this place. The food prices are outrageous, and neither the quality, variety, nor quantity justifies the cost.

“Beautfiul property lacking ultra-luxury personality”

The service levels have changed since our last stay at Six Senses after the ownership switch. What used to be a boutique‑style property has become part of a larger chain, and in our view it has lost some of its exclusivity and uniqueness; the personal touch is gone. The food options, especially breakfast, were inconsistent with ultra‑luxury resorts worldwide.

It’s obviously a magical place, timeless, on a private island with very high‑standing accommodations. The small details, however, mar the experience at this level: we each ordered a lobster for dinner—one was overcooked, and a wasp nest was found on the terrace roof, preventing us from fully enjoying the villa’s pool. Despite raising these issues, the staff made no gesture. Also, to reach the island you can only travel by helicopter or boat, costing 600 € round‑trip.

“A spectacular island with beautiful villas and kind staff, but the hotel needs renovation and the food should be improve”

The island is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking nature, crystal-clear water and complete privacy. The villas are beautiful and very private. The staff were friendly and genuinely tried to help, especially our butler Fatira, who was very caring and professional. Unfortunately, the food, especially breakfast, does not match the standard expected at a resort of this level
