The accommodation sits in a fairly isolated spot and we had to be guided by the host to find it; a more visible sign would help future guests. It’s important to note that the hosts live in the same house as the guests, which wasn’t clear from the ad—different areas are marked as ‘private’ or ‘guests’, which can feel a bit odd. At night we heard voices and people moving around because the room door isn’t very soundproof. The worst part was that breakfast was self‑service: we entered the host’s kitchen (the guest area) to take what they offered and then sat at their table. The mini‑fridge had cream cheese, jam, yogurt, and juice, but most were already opened and used, which was not hygienic and made us uncomfortable. The bread and scones were stale. I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. The accommodation has a beautiful view and is artistically decorated; the room is nicely sized but doesn’t have much of a view. The overall vibe—staying in someone else’s house with self‑service breakfast—made us very uneasy, and we were glad we didn’t stay an extra night.

The room was super spacious, clean, and in a house with a breathtaking view of the little bay of Crewe; the owner welcomed us and gave useful information about Schull.

The views were lovely, the decor is a little eccentric but interesting none the less. Hosts were friendly. Breakfast is self service with some home baked goodies. The atmosphere was a bit strange because you share the downstairs with the hosts. It is a big, remote house and we appeared to be the only people In the house for some of the time, the hosts having gome out for the evening. This felt a bit strange! It is easy to get lost when trying to find the house. You must follow the instructions given
