“Decepcionante”

The location was excellent and the common areas were very nice. At check‑in, however, the receptionist insisted that we provide full credit‑card details as an absolute requirement for staying, even though we had already given those details when the hotel charged us for the reservation a few days earlier. When we pointed this out, the staff seemed irritated and told us we could have given the information to Booking but not to them, insisting it was mandatory. We explained we didn’t understand, but still handed over a card for them to note. We are three adults, average age 63, who booked a 24 m² room with three single beds two months in advance, and the booking even showed a photo of the room we expected. After completing the registration, we received the key and opened the door to find a space of only about 15 m² with a 1.35 m double bed and a single extra bed, not the three singles advertised. Knowing the receptionist’s attitude, we chose not to argue, expecting the usual response, and just made do. It’s a shame that a trip we’d planned with such excitement started off on such a sour note.
