As a backpacker, the value for money here is pretty good, though the bathroom feels a bit cramped.

The bus stop is very close, but the air‑conditioner is loud and the bed is right next to it, making it hard to sleep all night; the bidet looks worn out and hasn't been fixed.

The Jin Cheng location isn’t next to the station but about an eight‑minute walk, and the walk lets you shop or grab food, so it’s still convenient in the city with many nearby stores; the entrance via the small path before the telecom office is faster and shows a small sign. The social hall has two sections, plenty of seats, and feels more homely. The women's bathroom is ridiculously small, the trash can often overflows and smells; other issues come from other guests—there’s a high chance of an unsatisfactory roommate, the women's toilet has a cigarette smell, lights are turned on loudly before 5 am, and at about 4 am people use voice to talk and type messages, so you really have to gamble on luck.

“Great hostel for some rest in between exploring the islands.”

The CPR and coffee for guests are decent, the room is climate‑controlled and your belongings are very secure, and the location in the main city of Kinmen is great and easy to reach from the airport; courtesy umbrellas are provided when it rains. I never saw the owners or staff, but that didn’t matter; the bathroom on the third floor needs a scrub down, though I understand the Taiwan climate makes cleaning hard. It’s not a huge negative, still a good hostel.
