The setting was perfect, but a loud group of guests got drunk, came in shouting, and there was nothing I could do about it.

“It was a really great place to stay for any occasion, the view was the best thing for me.”

The location, look, and feel of the accommodation were great; it was clean and looked new, the view was amazing, and the breakfast was really nice with a pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it for a special occasion with a partner. What I didn’t like was the lack of hooks in the bathroom to hang anything, and I personally thought the lake’s water feature and surrounding lights would look even better if they were multi‑coloured at night, though that was just a preference.

“Perfect”

We were there for a fishing trip, and it could not have been more perfect—literally meters from the beautiful lake, great wildlife, a friendly owner named Chris, and a good breakfast included in the price, which was fantastic value. The location was ideal and we can’t wait to return; we’d stay every month if the property were available more often. Unfortunately, it’s a wedding venue, so it’s extremely busy, which explains the noise.

The lodge and its surroundings were beautiful, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I booked a double room but was mistakenly given a twin, which was fixed quickly without any issues. A staff member went out of his way to print a taxi QR code and bring it to my room, which was very kind. The room was clean, the bath towel was large (not the usual small ones), there was complimentary bottled water, the views were amazing, and the buffet‑style breakfast was great after a night of drinking. I would definitely recommend this place. The only downside is that it isn’t dog friendly, which is probably understandable because of the lake.
