Everyone was very friendly! It felt more like visiting a relative than staying in a hotel. Kosan is very loving! I had a great time. Also, there’s a wonderful river right next to the lodging.
Being close to Yanbaru National Park was a plus. The facilities are not well maintained, and the shared areas need better upkeep. The showers were only available until 9 pm, which was disappointing; we should have been told this at booking. It’s very upsetting to go to bed sweaty and not be able to wash up after a long day of exploring.
The owner and everyone else were so friendly that I felt instantly welcomed. The place is small but cozy, and everything worked out nicely. I received a lot of help and I’m definitely planning to return.
“ちょっと不便なところ”
The guests were mostly foreigners. The staff were absent, so the management was lacking, and the location was inconvenient.
The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel at home right away. Their honesty and community spirit were clear. However, the facilities needed more attention: the bathroom and sink were dirty, cobwebs were around the bed, the toilet carpet had to be replaced or removed, and the kitchen wasn’t wiped down. It wasn’t the owners’ fault, but guests were smoking and the door was opened frequently, letting smoke drift in. I wish there were stricter no‑smoking rules for room occupants. Also, shoes should be stored on the shelves; I left mine by the stairs like everyone else, but overnight rain soaked them.
