“Outstanding experience. Will definitely go again.”
Everything was world‑class, but there were flies and I had to keep insect repellent and citronella candles handy.
“Perfect place, If you get a opening, don't miss it!”
I can’t praise this place enough; it was a huge surprise! I expected something good, but not perfect, and we loved every detail: the beautiful house, well‑decorated and comfortable furniture, thoughtful layout, warm outdoor pool, and amazing views. The kids were thrilled to see horses, sheep, and other animals from their bedroom window, and we even saw a female impala on Christmas night just outside. I could easily travel from Europe to South Africa again just to stay here once more. Our days around Gansbaai were unforgettable, and this place added so much to our memories. The only downside is that the listing photos don’t do the place justice.
“Komfortable Unterkunft mit Luft nach oben”
It was a very nice and comfortable place with a fireplace, bathtub, hot tub, and a lovely garden view, but the little Barn had a few flaws. The kitchenette had everything needed. We caught a very cold night; only the fireplace could heat the whole barn, which made it a bit tough. Luckily we arrived early enough to spend time stoking the fire. The hot tub never really warmed up, so we ended up not using it. The bathtub fixtures were loose.
“Very comfortable and pretty cottage in a beautiful location, but aimed at wedding guests.”
We self‑catered, yet the kitchen wasn’t equipped for it—no basic pots, pans, utensils, or chopping board, even though it was large. It seemed more focused on weddings than weekday guests, and the booking cost was processed as a foreign payment in a different currency, incurring a bank fee, even though I live in South Africa and was quoted in SA Rands.
“Exceptional.”
The rooms were gorgeous and the setting was fantastic—super relaxing with special birdlife. Nothing to complain about.
