We arrived in Baku at 4 am (in transit) and the host met us at the airport in a comfortable car, drove us to the hotel, and checked us in. We slept until 11 am, refreshed with a shower, and then went for a walk around Baku, leaving our luggage at reception. We paid for the stay on site. The hotel’s location is very good, close to the old town, the promenade, the funicular to the viewpoint, and more. We liked everything! The price is reasonable.

“Misleading information, unacceptable conditions, and extremely unprofessional staff — I strongly do”

I booked this hotel through Booking with a free airport transfer clearly listed, but after confirmation the hotel told me the transfer was actually paid, proving the website info was wrong. Booking support admitted their mistake and promised compensation. All communication went via WhatsApp because the phone number didn’t work for calls. After a few clarifying questions, the administrator became extremely unprofessional, sending aggressive voice messages, calling us “annoying,” and eventually saying he didn’t want to handle the booking and told us to cancel. He also made an inappropriate comment about the war in Ukraine, which had nothing to do with the booking and was totally unacceptable. The room size listed on Booking was about twice the actual size. Construction next to the property kept us constantly noisy and uncomfortable. The entrance looked like a private residential area, so it felt more like a few rooms in a private house than a hotel. Instead of a wardrobe there was only a wall niche at a height that made it impossible to reach, so we couldn’t store or hang clothes and had to leave. The documents were issued under a different name—a hostel that didn’t match the property I booked. The overall experience was extremely negative, and I strongly do not recommend this place because of the unprofessional staff and misleading information.

The location given is wrong, their phones aren't working, they're not responding to messages, and they're blaming you and calling you a scammer for all of this.
