“Ideal hub for multi-day Ometepe excursion”
There are plenty of animals all around the property. The architecture is cool and the bungalow‑style houses invite you to stay longer. Breakfast options are good, but limited.

We love the cabana in front of the lake – it’s our favorite spot to relax. The service at the restaurant, however, is always pretty bad.

The gardens are lovely, the staff are friendly. They should add a souvenir shop.

The location is great, right on the lake. The bungalows are comfortable. The receptionist and waiters are quite attentive. The owner is a penny pincher. They charged us full price for a room upgrade even though we were the only guests there. Then, when we asked if we could take two fallen coconuts, they charged us 25 cordobas. The issue in both cases wasn't that we were charged; we paid what we were asked to pay. However, having stayed at many hotels over the years, I've had the good fortune to experience the little things that a hotel will do to delight you as a customer, such as a free room upgrade when rooms are available. A penny‑pinching owner is not a deal breaker, but just be aware that the owner of this hotel is not concerned with delighting customers.

Staying here let me connect with nature and spot plenty of wildlife around the grounds. The beach is a short walk away and private. The meals were tasty, and we appreciated the tour arranged by Arlington, the driver we recommend. The restaurant staff were consistently friendly and professional. However, the menu is narrow; after a few days you’d have tried almost everything, and the prices are steep for Ometepe and the country overall. Their business model seems to favor higher rates, but more discounts could improve guest satisfaction. One of the female receptionists was unpleasant.
