The apartment sits in a lovely area, which was very convenient for our time in Tirana. The room itself is modern and comfortable, as is the bathroom, and we liked that. The key is left in a box with a unique code that the host gives you before you arrive. We were lucky that Miranda, the person who cleans and prepares the rooms, was there when we entered; she was affectionate and very friendly even though we couldn’t speak the same language. The communication to get to the apartment was a bit difficult. We suggest the host sends directions earlier, because many travelers, like us, may not have internet (we were traveling from outside Europe) and the information arrived only after we were already in the area. The apartment is at the end of a dead‑end street, and it’s hard to spot which one it is. In fact, we first entered a different building that wasn’t the right one and only realized it was the next building. Aside from that, which can be fixed with clearer location instructions, everything was fine.
