The pool, comfortable bed, and very friendly staff (except at check‑out) were positives, but the breakfast was miserable, the bathroom equipment was lacking (no towel racks, no hooks, faucets were heavily limescale‑covered), tourists toured the garden and even the pool all day, we were practically ignored at check‑out and they didn’t ask how we found our stay (the phone was more important), and the price/value doesn’t match here.

The location was good, but my room was above the restaurant, the bar, and the cigar room with music every night until after 11 pm. The breakfast was advertised from 7:30 am, yet on the second day they didn’t open until 8 pm; when I arrived there was no tea or coffee in the room, and the Jacuzzi didn’t work. I booked and paid for three days and told the hotel I would leave after two, so I had to rebook my flight. They said that because it was a third‑party booking I would have to contact and request a credit. If you enjoy good wine, fine cigars, and excessive eating, this is your place… as long as you don’t stay there. It feels like a run‑down vestige of the British empire desperately needing restoration and refurbishment, and only one of the swimming pools had water in it.

Enjoyed our breakfast very much. Enjoyed the privacy of our Presidente room and balcony! Appreciated the access to downtown and the beach. The design of the shower was odd since the opening on the end allowed water to splash out to the toilet area. One of the bedside reading lamps would not work. Got a light bulb from the desk but lamp still did not work. There was only 1 bar of soap to share with the shower and sink. No cream for the coffee
