“Polecam!”

The pension is in a quiet area, a few minutes by car from Rużomberk. The large room with a balcony stayed cool in the afternoon sun, so no AC was needed. I worried the balcony would overlook the restaurant garden, but it was neither loud nor smelled of cooking. If the nearby resort ever hosts dance nights (don’t go there!), there’s no street noise. The interiors, especially the stylish and cozy restaurant, are great – no need to look for anything else in town, you can focus on exploring the area.

We really appreciated the game room, which we adults enjoyed (billiards, ping‑pong), our daughter also liked the building blocks and dice, and we could even have dinner in that room.

The breakfast was varied and rich, and the location was fantastic—everything from attractions to trails was close by.

“small comfy place close to attractions in lower tatra.”

The pension was nice and comfortable, and the spot was right next to Chopok, rope parks, and other trails, with easy access to the Lower Tatra area; parking was convenient and nearby restaurants were excellent. The pension’s own restaurant seemed pricey, so we skipped it. Rooms were clean and cozy, showers were superb, and the staff were the friendliest and most helpful we’ve encountered in Slovakia. On the downside, I booked two rooms, one with a balcony, so they couldn’t be adjacent—an omission that would have mattered if I’d chosen rooms without balconies. Breakfast was acceptable, though compared to the previous hotel it felt a bit underwhelming. Once or twice, the staff didn’t refill dishes that guests had emptied, and the limited selection made that a let‑down; the breakfast hall was shared with the restaurants, so it could get crowded and noisy very quickly, which is not what you’d expect from a small place.

The pension was nice, the staff were friendly, and the wellness facilities were great. Dinner and breakfast tasted good, and the room came ready for a dog with bowls, treats, and more—thank you. The only drawback was that there was no mini‑fridge in the room.
