The whole building is very stylish and tastefully decorated—restaurant, hallway, rooms, bathrooms. The mattresses are very comfortable. The welcome was very friendly, though they kept calling everyone “du” without asking, which might not suit everyone. The minibar in the stairwell is well stocked. The small sauna is pretty and there’s a whirlpool too, with bathrobes, slippers and towels. The restaurant is very inviting, with friendly service and great little extras on the menu. Breakfast was really good. There’s also a small reading room with a bookcase. On the second day, many things weren’t as great. The entrance area (trash and cigarette butts) and the outdoor seating were very untidy and grimy. The whirlpool wasn’t very clean, the outdoor shower was broken, and apparently no one wipes down tables or waters plants. A pillow that was just a lump caused sleepless nights. A second chair in the double room would be nice. The breakfast service was very inattentive; they only refilled plates when they were empty.
