The location and room quality were great. The host was super helpful and the little touches in the room worked well. It was quiet and close to Castle Hedingham, which we enjoyed. The only issue was that it sits beside a road used by motorcyclists as a run‑out, so there were regular bursts of revs and noise. Nothing else we didn't like.

The place was so welcoming and spacious, with the comfiest bed ever. Breakfast was great and the hosts were as fabulous as during our last visit last year. Nothing negative.

The room was so lovely and the bed super comfortable. Everything was absolutely perfect, we didn't want to leave in the morning. James, the owner, showed us the room with such pride. They really care to make everything as nice as possible. Great quality bathroom products which make such a difference + a lovely bathrobe and slippers. There were breakfast things in the room and he also brought us warm pastries in the morning. Would 100% stay here again!. nothing

The accommodation was very comfortable, the hosts were friendly, and the location hit the sweet spot for the two parts of Essex we were visiting. A few good pubs and restaurants were just a short drive away, perfect for refueling after busy days.
