“Schöner Wanderurlaub”

Breakfast was very good, but at the time a detour caused the main road to run right in front of the building, so nighttime quiet was limited by the open window.

The host was very friendly, the rustic Erzgebirge décor was cozy, and the room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast was ample and well put together, including homemade jam. It’s a pity the dining facility is no longer active; that would have made the stay even better. The flooring in the stairwell is heavily worn and definitely needs replacement.

The host was friendly and quiet. We liked being able to use the breakfast room outside of breakfast hours and the fireplace in the evening for a cozy wind‑down:)). Adding a small cooler to each room was a brilliant idea, especially useful when it’s warm. There was a nice little selection of chilled drinks on site that everyone could access anytime. The location is good, with a hiking trail right next to the property (though we couldn’t walk it because it was snowed over, still we had a wonderful winter weekend with friends and our dog:)). The Fichtelberg Railway station is within walking distance. A highlight for both kids and adults. There’s a free parking space right in front of the house. We stayed in a double room that was comfortable and the size was great, but the bathroom was very small. The breakfast lacked variety and fresh vegetables (there were only a few small tomatoes used as garnish). A main road runs right past the house, so if the windows are open during the week it can get a bit noisy when the room faces the street.
