The room was simple but comfortable, spotless, and had an excellent ensuite with tea-making provision; it was exceptionally quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order rather than buffet-style. The owners and their staff were friendly, hospitable, and attentive. I also had dinner in the evening, which was very good standard pub food, and the parking was good. I didn’t want a business-oriented shoe box and was very happy with my choice and their service – keep it up!

OUTSTANDING!! We have just returned from a 3‑night stay and we have booked again to go in a few weeks to take my parents as it was so great. The hosts, Nicky and John could not have done more for us; they went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable. The apartment was spotless and very well finished and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The shower is so powerful and really refreshing, a perfect way to start the day. The full English breakfast, cooked to perfection and made to your choice, was included in the price, which shocked me. The menu for the evening meals has many choices and the ones we chose were great. To make the stay even better, there is a Sunday carvery with an excellent choice of meats and veg that was just the cherry on the cake. The Banoffi pie for dessert was also lovely. We have a dog who is not the most well‑behaved when other dogs are in the room, and Nicky went to a lot of trouble to seat us away from the other dogs. I cannot speak highly enough of this property and hosts. We have stayed in places before that are rated over 9 but they did not compare to this property that should be a 10. Location is also fantastic and is only a short drive to many North Devon attractions.
