The room and the property were fine, not bad, a bit cramped but reasonably clean. The staff only spoke Chinese, not English; they told us to leave our backpacks and that we could pick them up at 4. When we arrived at 4 there was no one, and unless another guest had opened the door we wouldn’t have retrieved our bags. The phone number they gave us doesn’t work.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I had to give a large deposit to hotel before staying to get access to check in details (its a self check-in hotel). It has been 2 WEEKS and they are refusing to give me back my deposit. They make excuses every day as to why they cannot transfer the deposit back to me. Unacceptable, STAY ANYWHERE ELSE

The air conditioning worked well, and the hotel is a 20‑minute walk to the attractions. Shops are nearby, and the bathroom is nice with a separate shower and door. Water is provided, the bedding is clean and comfortable, and towels are clean. Shower gel and soap are supplied, and there’s a reading light you can switch off from bed. Plugs are close to the bed, and a small desk and chair are available. The room isn’t the cleanest, but it’s not bad. There’s no window, and a spare toilet roll would have been useful.
