The place feels safe and tidy, and the staff are respectful. Its location is super convenient while still giving you privacy. We’ll definitely be back.

Everything was very good.

The place has a good location, the cold water jacuzzi is beautiful for relaxing, and the shared spaces are very well maintained. The mirror area for getting ready is very nice and has excellent lighting. I also liked that there’s a shared space to hang wet clothes (and with CR’s humidity that’s very appreciated), and one day they did the laundry for what was there and it was very useful. I didn’t like the treatment from some of the hostel staff at all. The first impression on arrival was terrible. I arrived early for check‑in, didn’t expect to have to wait, but at least I’d hoped to be greeted cordially to tell me where to leave my stuff and let me explore until the time. The girl who received me treated me poorly, with a “check‑in is at 2pm” and barely looked me in the eye. Luckily a volunteer had already welcomed me and told me where to store my things. Later, I didn’t like that at 10pm all lights were turned off and they became strict about noise. I know it’s a place to relax and be quiet, but the way they silenced some girls in the kitchen that night felt very violent and rude. The girls weren’t making noise, just chatting and laughing loudly, and a woman with a security guy came and, in Spanish and a harsh tone, said, “if you don’t be quiet I’ll send you to sleep outside, and I’m not alone (referring to the guy who would do anything)”. That felt very distasteful and the threat was unnecessary. Also, all were tourists who didn’t understand what was happening, but they just received the scolding and bad treatment. So the least I value is the overall treatment, and if you’re looking for a slightly livelier hostel where you can enjoy nights at least chatting, this isn’t your place.
