“Needs a refresh”

Deb the manager was lovely and friendly. It seemed like a nice place until bedtime: the small double was old, tired, uncomfortable and in need of replacement. A gap in the side and bottom of the door let a cold draft blow my hair into my face all night. Waking up at 3.30 am to heavy boots of workers down the hallway as they dragged suitcases along the floor, then hearing the microwave ding ding moments later. Wifi was sporadic at best, and a random guest knocked on our door at 7.30 am so we could boil our kettle because hers didn’t work; we didn’t mind we were half‑asleep due to lack of sleep. We took fruit out of the mouldy fridge to find it was frozen rock‑solid and had to be thawed because it turned to liquid. The fridge also needs to be replaced. The shower pressure was good. The whole establishment needs decent maintenance, investment and a refresh. Deb the manager was lovely.

Great staff and great rooms

The location is good. Staff are responsive and helpful. Beds are not comfortable at all, the shower is leaking and the comforters need to be washed.

Cold and not enough blankets, and the heater wouldn’t even heat the room.
