The waterfront is close, but apart from the gentleman who checked me in, the desk staff were unhelpful and blamed me for the wrong room type instead of fixing it. I was promised a partial refund but, to my knowledge, never received it.

Al at the front desk was amazing—kind, interested in us, and helpful. The location was superb, and the hotel was spacious and comfortable. Our room was wonderful for a two‑night stay. Some areas have been renovated, and I can see it will be a great place again once they finish the work. It truly is a special place. The gentleman on the second evening was rather terse and rude, and a few spots could have used more regular vacuuming to keep up the appearance the hotel is aiming for.

The check‑in was smooth and the staff were helpful, but the pool area had a strong chlorine smell whenever the slider was open.

The location is central, but the price feels high for what’s actually offered; the pool‑view upgrade was actually a downgrade, and the room had a chlorine odor that couldn’t be relieved by opening a window because the pool area is enclosed and heated over four stories. The room fan/AC unit was loud, housekeeping wasn’t available unless requested the night before, breakfast was sold separately and there were cheaper restaurants nearby, and the only way to reach the front desk was to walk over—there was no room phone.
