Hotel Svaneti

The rooms were very humid, and the bathroom wasn’t cool.

The location was handy and the hotel offered a separate garden and restaurant, but the sanitary conditions were poor, soundproofing was awful, and the lock on our door was slightly broken.

The hotel was generally okay for the price, with decent conditions, but the Wi‑Fi was weak and unreliable, and we could hear footsteps from the floor above because the building is wooden.

The spot is right in the city center with plenty of restaurants nearby, but what was advertised didn’t match reality: there was no breakfast, no slippers, and the shower was uncomfortable. The water temperature kept shifting, sometimes scorching hot, sometimes freezing cold. The listing needs updating because many listed amenities were missing.

“Enttaeuschend”

The hotel felt modern and sat right in the centre of town. Because of an over‑booking, we were given a tiny 15 m² budget room without a fridge, sofa or safe instead of a decent standard room, and the front desk only offered a price refund for the downgrade and let us use the kitchen fridge. The garden’s live‑music bar was blaring from afternoon until late evening, the reception was rarely staffed – even when we rang the bell or called the emergency number nobody answered – and the Wi‑Fi was constantly spotty, with none of the three networks working properly, especially in the room where only the ground floor had any signal.
