“Basic camp outside park with lovely staff”

The staff, food, and common area were excellent. Since we were in the budget tent, we could stash our bags in the upstairs common area and relax on the couch with an amazing view of Kilimanjaro. On arrival, our budget tent had two broken zips that we didn’t notice until we went to bed. They were promptly fixed the next day, but they should have been repaired beforehand. One mattress in the tent was an inner spring and comfy, while the other was a foam mattress that wasn’t very good.

What a fairytale experience! The beds were comfy, water was plentiful, and the cabins were adorable. The staff were incredibly hospitable.

“Nice cottages but needs minor improvements”

The staff were very nice and did everything they could to accommodate our needs, even swapping us into a cottage with a bigger bed and handling everything straightforwardly. The cottages themselves were cozy and tasteful, and the whole place runs on green energy while donating to local community projects, giving it a very personal atmosphere with only a few guests. However, the B&B, lunch, and dinner come at an additional cost, with each meal priced at $15 per person, which is quite expensive for what you receive. The rooms could use a sideboard for storage, and because of the solar energy system, the water is very cold in the morning.

The campsite photos were spot on, the host was very welcoming, and the dinner was delicious.
