We chose this place because it was close to the ferry for the Greek islands we wanted to visit, and the walk to the dock took about 15 minutes, though the path wasn’t exactly smooth. Parking wasn’t an issue thanks to a large lot beside the hotel, but on Sundays the market blocks access, while weekdays the spot feels safe. The hotel sits right in the centre and the staff were all smiling and genuinely helpful. The building looks maintained, yet the locks on the doors were old and squeaky, and the towels were faded and worn‑out. For the price of the room I expected a cleaner space; I counted roughly ten to twelve rooms in total, so buying a hundred new towels a year would make sense, but I don’t get why they keep using the torn, yellowed ones. The beds were far from comfortable, and although the room rate isn’t cheap, the bathroom fixtures, towels and overall upkeep felt dated.

The people are very nice and they try to make everything run smoothly. The price‑to‑value ratio doesn’t add up.
