“Le pire établissement da Charneca”
Nothing good to say. I can’t even describe this place in a way that fits my usual standards, it’s the worst I’ve rented in ten years… Pay attention to the arrival time; don’t try to get there early because if the concierge is at the beach he won’t move before the scheduled time. The photos don’t match reality (probably doctored) and the house smells… The neighbourhood is truly dilapidated with overflowing bins everywhere. If you want a quiet place to rest, forget it—dogs bark all the time. The services are non‑existent. The house problems aren’t fixed (rats were reported on the day I arrived and never resolved, I followed up daily, each time I was told there would be an intervention that day and nothing happened). The toilets leak. The single shower tap drips. The fridge leaks on one side. The extractor hood is very dirty and the wiring (you can judge for yourself, big fire risk) is questionable—an electrical outlet isn’t that expensive… There’s no washer, but there is a dishwasher (you’ll understand). The house wasn’t really clean when we arrived (floors not vacuumed and a lot of spider webs on the furniture), the furniture was covered in rats and damp. The barbecue was completely cracked and unsafe, exposed electrical cords and outlet strips… For me, it’s not worth the price and I was looking forward to the end of my stay… it’s a 2 out of 10 (and I think I’m still pretty kind). I think the owners and managers should be ashamed of renting a property in this condition. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The location was pretty good and quiet. We saw mice twice 😬 with video evidence. I think the place needs disinfecting. The cutlery was greasy, the tablecloth too. There were no glasses, so we had to drink from coffee cups.

I loved the location and how roomy the house feels, but the beds and mattresses are not very comfortable.
They keep asking for payment at the end. Months of waiting and they never send the invoice.
The accommodation is fine. They’re charging me for damage that was already deteriorated because of its age.
