Woodlands Wilderness Chalet

Signage was very informative & explicit in the message received from Chalet. No difficulty in finding Woodland Wilderness Chalet. Staffs were very helpul and always ready to help for everything with a smiling face. Rooms including toilets were very clean. Ambiaence and decor of the place was very good. Food was served according to our taste. No one should expect a 5 star chef serving there. We enjoyed the food served. No health problem. Internet connection was good. Better than our expectations in a remote place. That proves India is changing. Life without internet is difficult to manage. Electricity has back up generator. It provides uninterrupted supply. Only suggestion we have is to have auto connection instead of manual. In short no one should expect 5star service in Wilderness. We had a very enjoyable long weekend for 3 nights and 4 days in a Chalet to rejuvinate ourselves in a quiet place in the midst of lushgreen tea garden in comparison to hustle bustle of city life. We recommend the Chalet who wants a quiet holiday and rest to rejuvinate themselves. Everything was good

“I love this place, it’s amazing for a weekend getaway to the Dooars.”

The location of the resort was fantastic. It’s very easy to get there from Madarihat railway station, just take a toto. It’s in the middle of a tea estate and we saw a herd of wild elephants walk by in the morning. The room was huge and tastefully decorated. The balcony offers a stunning view. The food was freshly cooked and tasted amazing and the dining area was in an outdoor balcony overlooking the tea garden. We also went to Jaldapara National Park and saw deer, Gaur, elephants, rhinos and many birds. The bathroom could have been cleaner and could have smelled nicer. The stairs to the loft were very steep and a bit difficult to navigate. It’s better for children than for adults

“A good stay in the tea garden of the plains”

The natural ambience and the homely behaviour of the support staff were great. The only downside was the room tariff and food charges.

A beautiful place with endless tea gardens to unwind and just slow down. The property shares a boundary with Jaldapara forest and if you're lucky our friendly animals can pay you a visit. Wonderful accommodation with top notch food. Absolutely loved everything about this place. Are you kidding me!

The staff were super friendly, the location was quiet in the middle of the tea plantations with a view of the national park, and the food was good. We couldn’t get any help with safari arrangements, which was a major concern for us.
