“Great hotel, but they need to get things operating in a better way. Takes the edge off 'premium'.”
The spot was spot on, right by the slope and a stone’s throw from the village. The rooms were tidy and comfy, though housekeeping was hit‑and‑miss. We liked the big pool and the five hot tubs, and the bar area was nice, but it got crowded. The fire‑pits outside were great for S’mores. The ski concierge and the staff were friendly and helpful, and when we hit a snag on arrival the reception and admin team sorted it out quickly. Still, the hotel felt a bit impersonal, especially as more guests arrived. The common areas were too small for everyone, and the restaurant and bar menus were limited and overpriced. When we did eat there, the service was slow and they brought out starters after the main course, so we stopped dining there. We also skipped the hotel breakfast because $49 per person per day (even for kids over 12) was steep; over 12 days for four of us it would have cost thousands for a bowl of oatmeal and coffee. The selection of items was good, but we’re not big breakfast eaters. Washing facilities existed but were chargeable, which is odd for a premier ski resort. On our first laundry attempt all three machines were broken, each still taking payment. Reception helped get one working and refunded the extra charges after a lot of back‑and‑forth. Overall the hotel was nice, but the small issues made our stay less relaxing, even though they tried to fix everything.
