The location is unbeatable; in three minutes you’re at a shaded beach, and the rooms and beds are huge. Every bungalow comes with a small veranda, and all the ventilation slits are insect‑proof, so you can stay in the room without mosquitoes or anything. The family running the place is incredibly helpful with everything—laundry, tours, renting scooters or cars—and the prices are unbeatable. I’d strongly recommend booking here instead of elsewhere just to save ten baht. The beds are as described, enormous, with medium‑firm mattresses that were fine for my 55 kg weight, though I struggled a bit to sleep at first; it improved over time. The facilities are more than adequate. Many guests, like me, stayed for at least ten days, and if you’re okay with a basic standard and not after high‑class accommodations, this is the spot for you. The only downside is that a large new guesthouse is currently being built behind my bungalow, so construction goes on from morning till night and can be quite loud at times, but that’s nothing Oropax couldn’t handle.
