“Absolutely not recommended”
I’ve been traveling to China since 2012 and have stayed in many hotels of this brand and others, always leaving reviews for fellow solo travelers; this stay was no exception. Short version: the management here is terrible and it’s not worth the money. First, when I arrived the room was awful (see attached photo, yet the view outside was beautiful) and I asked for a change, but they said “we don’t have available rooms to change!” Even though the building has about 30 floors and dozens of rooms per floor, they never swapped my room. Second, I tried to exchange USD to RMB for about three days and five times, which is normal in other hotels, but here every time they said “come later and we’ll do it,” only to find new excuses. Third, I asked for a taxi and they told me “you should do it yourself.” These are just a few examples of my stay. I definitely do not recommend this place; the 5‑star rating is misleading. It truly feels like a 3‑star hotel and should be capped at a 7 rating. It’s not worth the money, and I only gave it 3 stars for the decent breakfast.
The rooms were very spacious, everything was clean, the view from the window was great, the staff were friendly, the toilet had a heated seat 🤣🤣 and a bidet with warm water—everything was fantastic. In the bathroom water was leaking, the food was very bland and not varied, the selection was small, and there were no teaspoons or salt.
The AC was not working, so I had to change rooms twice.
“Very nice stay in a comfortable ambiance”
The staff were amazing, especially Judy who helped us with our special needs when we had to leave very early in the morning. The beds were comfortable, and the lounge club had excellent food and service—highly recommend.
“너무 붐비지않지만 믹스몰과 멀지않은 곳의 5성급 호텔을 찾으신다면..!”
It’s a bit far from Mix Mall but not too far, and it’s actually less crowded than Mix Mall, which I liked. Right next door is CBD (Wanda Plaza) where you’ll find Panda Hair Spa, Cha Ji, Louis Singer Coffee, and more, which was great. There are also similar boutique shops with many local Chinese clothing brands, so it was fun to explore. The airport is 48 minutes by taxi, and Mix Mall is only 8 minutes by taxi—so it’s easy to walk around. If you’re looking for a less crowded spot, I highly recommend it. All staff were friendly, the hotel has a pool, fitness center, a bathtub in the room, a large first‑floor lobby, luggage storage with staff who greet and smile, and even help move your luggage at check‑in—quite a 5‑star service. Cleaning was a bit lacking overall, and the hotel feels somewhat outdated and a bit old. The bathroom lights didn’t work and there was rust everywhere, but I managed to use it. The pool was good, but the hot spring had some wallpaper peeling, and the locker room had a water leak that turned into a small sea—sauces were off and only opened from 7 pm to 7:20 pm, which was disappointing. The room had mosquito bites on the curtains and other small issues, but the temperature control was just right—neither too dry nor too cold. The bathtub was the best part.
