The spa and staff were fantastic, but the double room in the outer building was a disappointment; I struggled to sleep twice because the room felt more like a shared space, with both rooms using the toilet and a persistent fan noise all night. The bed was hard, the front entrance was grimy, and the bathroom mirror was tarnished and generally unkempt.

The spot was perfect and the staff were incredibly welcoming, and my room was spotless and roomy. No complaints at all.

The conservatory and historic features of the hotel were impressive, and the grounds, valley views, and quiet, peaceful atmosphere were great, but the room numbering system was a bit confusing.
