Kindness, hospitality, cleanliness, overall quality. All was well

We were cycling on the Five Rivers Tour, had poor weather, and arrived very early at the hotel; still, we were welcomed immediately and given a room. The staff were super friendly and competent. The rooms were small and the bathroom had a stale smell; everything else was spotless. It felt a little dated.

The décor was very nice, cozy and clean. Nothing to add.

I was greeted with a friendly welcome upon arrival, the parking space was ample, and it was nice that a restaurant was on site; the hotel sits beside a sculpture park that makes for pleasant walks, and the breakfast was generous. However, the room furniture was very worn: the leather sofa had tears in several places, which were covered with a fake curtain; when I mentioned it, the staff brushed it off a bit, which was disappointing.
The breakfast was very abundant, especially the eggs cooked to perfection. The bathroom was a bit too small, particularly the toilet area.
