The hotel’s proximity to the Duomo was a real plus, but finding the entrance was a hassle because there were no clear signs to guide you.

“Cozy Meets Boutique”

This boutique hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Duomo and all the luxury shopping. Its located on a very narrow street lined with cafes and no vehicle access. The large Cafe next door to the hotel has every type of breakfast pastry you could want, excellent coffees, and is spacious inside. Highly recommend. The hotel doesn't have a true lobby area so don't expect to saddle up at a bar or cozy table with your laptop. There's a small reception desk and a small quaint restaurant just off the entrance. This is truly a boutique feel. Our hotel room was spacious with a large comfortable bed. The colours are neutral and calming. There was enough space to hang our clothing. I mention this because not all hotels in the area provide sufficient closet space or drawers when travelling overseas. This wasn't the case at Speronari Suites. The bathroom shower was large with powerful water pressure which was great. Overall, it was a well-appointed comfortable room for two adults. The buffet breakfast was included and we enjoyed the convenience of it before heading out to explore. The staff were very accommodating for special requests regarding non-dairy milk, egg preferences and had good humor about the miscommunication (brought me hot oat milk for my cereal instead of cold). Christina in Guest Relations, is a wonderfuly hospitable individual. She was extremely helpful in recommending a restaurant she personally enjoyed away from the Duomo that truly was magical (Cantina Piemontese). She also helped us navigate our walk to Navigli. I chatted with her for quite awhile and learned more about the area from her. Thank you to Christina who made our stay very pleasant. There were only two things that stood out. Firstly, the lighting in the room could be increased. It was too dark for our liking, almost an ambient feeling you'd find in a restaurant. Opening the drapes didn't change the overall brightness in the room as our window faced a café steps in front of us (stone wall) blocking the sun. We were on the first floor. However, the modern lighting is easily functional. I might add that the website does show naturally bright rooms but ours was not. It could be the location of our room within the hotel. The photos depict a bigger common area like the restaurant and bigger rooms. It is a bit deceiving so I try to imagine a less grand space when viewing these websites. The 2nd issue was the noise level coming from the street at night. There were three cafes all within steps of our room, that were crowded and noisy. Having pointed this out, I don't expect peace and quiet when visiting as a tourist in a lively and vibrant city like Milan. It goes with the territory, so I will mention this for awareness, but this shouldn't deter a guest from staying at Speronari Suites

“Все было комфортно и хорошо!”

Everything was clean and cozy, and the receptionist spoke Russian—she was very sweet! Another staff member from the morning shift even extended my room by an hour so I could wash my hair; thanks! The downside was that the windows looked into the courtyard and other rooms, so I had to close the curtains immediately. The city center is compact, and there’s the usual water‑pipe noise when neighbors shower, which wakes me up in the morning.
