“The wonderful good ones who work here (handful) deserve a better employer or should run the place!”
There were three or four nice workers and one kind guest. The air felt fresh and the room was relatively clean. The real kindness of the few almost counterbalanced the nasty attitude of one or two women who should be fired. The administration was the worst under the director, who seemed like a nice guy. Service in the admin was rude, unkind, and the tables outside were dirty. There were no night table lamps in the room and only very bright white LED lights on the ceiling. I was hungry and working on Monday, came to eat, and was VERY RUDELY told the restaurant was closed that Monday with no warning. I was told I should follow the hotel news on Instagram, so it’s my fault I didn’t know there was no service on Mondays. If not for a kind cleaning lady who shared her lunch with me, I would have left. Wifi didn’t work outside in the restaurant area. Every normal request (like, please wipe the table, or confronting the admin about serious violence that broke out between guests) was treated as a joke. Customers were treated as if staying at the location was an honor. I came with a dog but had to argue every day for access to the small lake with a beach; I was prohibited from walking on the rest of the property. They lied many times, including a false threat that I couldn’t walk my dog because it might be attacked by their guard dogs (who ended up not running loose at all).
