Meine beste Unterkunft in Sri Lanka, mitten in den Reisfeldern, sehr ruhig und friedlich, besonderes Übernachtungserlebnis: Betten sind überdacht, stehen aber im Innenhof ohne Überdachung, super bequem für meine Rückenschmerzen, einfach, aber alles vorhanden: Wasserkocher, Moskitonetz, Außen‑duschen, Waschbecken + Toilette neu und sauber, abgelegen, aber mit Tuk‑Tuk oder schönem Spaziergang ist die Hauptstraße gut zu erreichen. Sumudo and his father did a perfect job: excellent cooking, cleaning the place, repairing, answering any question, helping with any need so politely. The house and location is simple but wonderful and suited perfect for me.
We had a disastrous experience with this booking. After travelling 80 km to the property, we were left waiting on the road for 30 minutes with no information from the owner. When we finally managed to reach him, he told us the property wasn't ready to be occupied - but that's not the issue, it's the fact that it was listed as available in the first place.

I had an incredible stay at this place - it's surrounded by nature and has a peaceful vibe that's hard to find. The villa was clean and comfortable, and the inner courtyard was my favourite feature - it made me feel so connected to nature. The staff were incredibly attentive and arranged a romantic dinner in the tree hut, which was a highlight of my trip. We also got to experience a traditional well bath, which was a unique and unforgettable experience.

The location of this place is truly superb - it's remotely set off the main road, overlooking a rice paddy and surrounded by natural beauty. The staff were very nice and the food was perfect. We loved the overall concept of the place, which is all about being one with nature. If you're an individualist who appreciates unique places with a bit of a wow factor, this is a perfect getaway. Just be aware that it's not for everyone - the open sleeping concept might not be to everyone's taste.
