The Crown is a charming village pub conveniently positioned for exploring the region’s fascinating churches, and the evening atmosphere was friendly. The room was ideal for a night’s stay, featuring comfortable beds and a good shower, and the full English breakfast was delicious.

The charm and the owners’ helpfulness were great, and the room was just fine while breakfast was excellent; the informal feel added to the appeal. However, the room had a bath instead of a shower, and the towels were small and a bit stiff.

Breakfast was solid and the location was spot on in a cute little town. The lack of A/C and fans left the room sweltering during the heat wave, and a fan would have made a big difference.

A quirky pub tucked into a beautiful mountain village, with very friendly staff and a dinner that was very good with plenty of options. The place felt a bit dated, especially the mattresses, but that didn’t ruin our stay.
