The property was close to Baddeck and had a great view. It was a bit cold, so we turned off the heat pump. We were unaware that there was a shared bathroom, which was confusing; it felt like a campground with shared showers.

We didn’t stay. There was no indoor plumbing, so you had to cross the road for a bathroom. No indoor plumbing.

I only liked the dome itself; the bathroom facilities were a mess. It was too far away and only three were open. Parking is dangerous, and we had to move from one dome to another. I won’t go there again. Parking and bathroom facilities.

Check‑in was pleasant, and the host was friendly, giving us ice and a spare key when we locked ourselves out. The location is under construction. Our dome seemed new; we could smell the adhesive from the newly installed flooring. The dirt road to our dome was muddy even before it rained all night, but the rain helped drown out the noise from large trucks on the highway between the domes and the lake. The dome itself was okay, but it lacked furniture and amenities and needs more “fitting out.” It felt uncomfortable; the small couch was horrible to sit on and had no side tables or coffee table, so we had to put our drinks on the floor and reach down. The bed also lacked side tables, and there was just one floor lamp for the entire space. We had coffee and sugar but no whitener. No running water. No attached bathroom – there were two outhouses up the dirt road and further up a separate building (still mostly under construction) with a few small rooms, each with a shower and toilet. This would have been tolerable on a good night, but we had a torrential downpour from 2 am to 10 am. We left without a shower and used the toilet at a nearby restaurant. This could be a very nice place if it had more furniture and hired an interior decorator. As it is, it is not luxury glamping. Other hotels or motels at similar price points exist just down the road. I wish the owner luck – but they need to invest more.

The dome was nice and clean. The washrooms were dirty, too far away, and had no light leading to the bathroom. There should be a Johnny on the spot for every other dome. The pool was non‑existent, and the online pictures made you think there was a hot tub on your deck.
