Lake Point Motel

“Perfect stop over with cute local attractions.”

A cute little 1950s‑style hotel—small but efficient—right across from the water. September was quiet, so we could stroll up and down the island. After the lighthouse around 9 pm we caught a perfect view of Cedar Point across the lake, with the carousels lit up. The listing didn’t mention it, but there is a mini‑fridge with a small freezer. Amy (the owner) was very communicative and friendly when I met her at check‑out. We enjoyed our stay and want to see more of Catawba Island; we’ll stay here again next time. It was great—no complaints except that we didn’t plan for a longer stay.

“Quiet place away from Cedar Point with waves crashing ambience”

The sunrise was stunning and it was quiet after a hectic day at the park with teens. Amy made check‑in and check‑out super easy. The rooms were clean, quiet, and the whole experience was a treat. I can’t wait to go back. It’s a hidden gem with lots to explore nearby; I wish I had an extra vacation day. Eat before you arrive, as food can be limited after 8 pm.

“Great place, great location for the price!”

Across from Lake Erie, the entrance was welcoming and there were tables and chairs outside; the staff were helpful and friendly, and the location is close to Marblehead Lighthouse and the walking/bike paths in the beautiful area. The room was clean, the full‑size bed comfortable with soft bedding, good pillows, clean towels and washcloths, and it smelled great. However, the room was too small (though it matched the description), there were no outlets in the bathroom, the lighting was harsh, the screen door was taped, and the door glass was painted.

“This is my favorite place to stay and will be back everytime we are in the area!”

Quiet hidden location and it’s right across the street from the lake. Suites are cute! Fully stocked. The owner Amy is very sweet and takes pride in her rentals. I did wish there was a tv in one of the bedrooms
