Hotel De L'Océan, Biarritz, is situated on Place Sainte-Eugénie, a quiet semi-pedestrian square overlooking the old harbour. The hotel is 3 minutes from a large beach, where swimmers and surfers coexist. Many rooms exude a past atmosphere, while others have been renovated, all boasting character and an exceptional location, close to Biarritz's beautiful sites, city center, and seaside.

Bagaimana tamu menilai properti ini, aspek demi aspek.
The location was excellent, and the decoration and presentation of the rooms and common areas were very good, with excellent customer service from the staff. However, the room was missing a few small touches – a little side table next to the bed and a small coffee maker would have been nice.

The description promised a “chambre supérieure,” so we booked a superior room for €293.80 per night, but the value was zero. The hallway leans to one side so you feel like you might fall. The room really only has the name “supérieure”: no kettle, no fridge, no water bottle, very small with little room to move, and a tiny bathroom (the shower is so small you can’t move properly). The view is just a wall of the church. When I told reception there was a misunderstanding about “chambre supérieure,” they replied that there was a small balcony, which is why it was called superior?????? To reach the balcony you had to climb a wooden box in front of the French door. The “superior” label was a false illusion. The description said you could add a baby bed if desired, but I wonder where you would put it – maybe on the balcony!!!!!!! because it was impossible to add anything in that “pocket-sized” space.

The location is great.

The welcome was close to a well‑located parking and the staff were kind. The only downside was the lack of a gluten‑free breakfast; otherwise, nothing else to mention.

An exquisite little jewel of a hotel right in the heart of Biarritz, next door to the beautiful cathedral and one minute from the ocean, where walking is fantastic. The hotel sits on a charming plaza where cafés invite all‑day lingering under umbrellas. The décor is beachy, whimsical, and the sumptuous breakfast buffet is incomparable. This light, bright, colorful hotel is staffed by the most welcoming, helpful, cheerful, delightful people, who make sure your stay is as happy as can be.
