This family‑run bed and breakfast was cozy and the breakfast was amazing, with real Douwe Egberts coffee available all day long. It was perfect for a night before or after a day trip to Schiermonnikoog. The pillows were unfortunately not comfortable, but the bed itself was wonderful.

The handicap‑friendly room was flawless: a shower with a chair, toilet and shower handles, a wheelchair‑accessible sink, and the best part—electric beds that we could raise or lower to our preferred height. The owners were very friendly, and the all‑day breakfast was full of fresh breads, homemade jams, a microwave, a coffee machine, and tea. The setting was very quiet, with a garden lounge at the entrance and in the yard. We also found children’s toys and recycled‑material sculptures placed around the property. Nothing to complain about.

It was a quiet spot, so there was no worry about theft, and the kitchen was available for cooking. The bathroom facilities were clean and well kept. The downside is that without a bike it’s dull, and those looking for the sea find it hard to get there—there’s only a small, not‑crowded beach 18 km away. Breakfast was always limited; the dining room was full of guests, but only a few items were offered, so we felt hesitant to take anything. Every three minutes the host would come out of the kitchen, look around, and bring fresh items, but we had to ask several times for butter, which was only 5 g for two people.

The room was nice, spacious, and kept tidy every day. The mattresses were good. It’s a quiet location, which was fine for us, but it could also be a bit too quiet. Breakfast was acceptable, though a bit limited.

Breakfast was good, the place was peaceful, and the parking lot had a large space. I couldn’t get the electric car charging station in the yard to work with my Electroverse app, even though the station was listed in the app.
