Breakfast was extra, but because we were camping we had access to a shared outdoor kitchen and fridge. The natural surroundings were lovely and the beach was stunning. The bathrooms were clean. The staff were friendly. The camping area was simple but very well designed. The restaurant was nice for lazy moments when we didn't feel like cooking ourselves. A small dustpan and brush for the tent would be helpful to keep the sand off.

The Bamba Kofi is a cluster of tents with increasing comfort levels up to 3‑star hotel standards, next to a higher‑priced hotel that shares a pool, restaurants, parking, and beach; an internal path leads straight to the beach, and the common areas are excellently maintained. The “room” (tenda) is tidied daily by the staff. The compound is essentially on the beach (a nice beach!) but lies 7.5 km from Watamu’s center, so getting around requires local transport.

The location was outstanding and the team was very attentive, with the most beautiful beach in Watamu. In the end we were given a bungalow with three beds and mosquito nets because the tents were too far apart for our kids, and Benjamin managed to sort that out, even helping us locate a towel and sending it to our next room; housekeeping came by daily. The only downside was the restaurant – you need to be patient, as waiting usually takes between one hour and one hour fifteen minutes, and, like many places in Kenya, ants and spiders tend to show up.

Everything! Paradise in Watamu! Accommodation, cleanliness, everything is super cared for, the pool, the massage and meditation area! The staff’s availability and kindness, the restaurant with great dishes! We will definitely come back! No complaints.
