The hotel is closed – don’t book! The former owner ran it off a few months ago, and the new landlady can’t access the account to confirm closure. She’s been trying to reach out, but bookings are still being accepted. Don’t book, but feel free to stop by the pub for a pint – the landlady is helpful, and locals will spill the beans about the infamous previous owner, named Jason or Paul Lyon. I’ve attached photos she let me take to prove the hotel is indeed shut down. Thanks, Alise!

This lodging doesn’t exist! It’s a scam – we arrived at night, tired and hungry, with a 2‑year‑old and a high‑risk pregnancy. No rooms were available; it was just a pub.

We arrived to find The Ferryboat Inn already closed, and no one had told us; we were left stranded.

It seems they’re closed, so I had to book elsewhere—definitely not helpful. The place was shut and locked up.

I would advise against staying here; we booked a weekend in April for a family wedding, but the property was abandoned and the owner had been evicted, so it was shut for a while. No notice was given, we had to scramble for another room at more than double the price, and yet they still charged us and falsely claimed they had accommodated us, so I can’t get a refund.
