Self‑catering with plenty of equipment and nice touches, plus arrival gifts. It’s a secluded cottage/lodge on a large house’s property, right next to nature, with a beautiful sheltered BBQ/firepit area overlooking fields.

The cabin was gorgeous, with thoughtful decor and a welcoming vibe—relaxing music, a welcome hamper, dog treats, and scented pine cones. A large wooden gazebo with a firepit lay among trees in the garden, and the view from the firepit opened onto fields and trees. Though next to the owner’s house, it felt secluded, protected by bushes and trees. A short drive takes you into Alness, where many sights are nearby. They’ve turned it into a home away from home, providing everything from a washing machine, whirly pole, airer, iron & board, dishwasher, cleaning sprays, dish soap, and more—everything worked wonderfully. The weather was brilliant, and I’d definitely recommend it and return.

The cabin is truly magnificent, with comfortable beds, soft XL bath sheets, a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely welcoming hamper, and beautiful outdoor space. The hosts went above and beyond to make the cabin feel like home, and there was nothing negative to mention.

The cabin was very comfortable, well equipped, and well laid out. However, the double bedroom let in too much morning light; thicker curtains or blackout blinds would improve it.
