The owner and coworker were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was great, a perfect start to a Costa Rica trip, and it’s close to the airport.

The place was spotless and snug, and it felt like we were tucked into a jungle. The only downside was the lack of toiletries.

“Gemengde gevoelens”

The hotel is the kind that makes you want to give a 10, and in this case it did. The owner is a genuinely friendly man with a sense of humor. The little “tourist” newspaper you get at breakfast contains a fun, informative piece about CR. The breakfast itself was the best I’ve had on our trip. The villa was spacious, had a good bed, and a nice shower. The garden is lovely and has informative, humorous signs next to the plants and trees. We didn’t eat here, but two take‑out spots are just 20 metres away. The newspaper at breakfast was from last year, which is the point I’m critiquing. There’s a lot of love and time put into this place but the finish feels off. The walls of the house have many uses, like luggage and such, and the wall by the stairs is covered in greasy hands. It needs repainting. The breakfast was delicious, but the pineapple juice, fresh fruit, and sweet cookie were too sweet and not enough. We got hungry again quickly and would have appreciated one or two slices of toast with cheese or meat. The complex is next to a busy road with a lot of motorbikes and cars, and even though earplugs are available, it’s still annoying.

“Very handy for the airport!”

Very well located to the airport, nice garden, spacious and quiet accommodation—each one separate from one another, and most importantly, a really friendly cat! You could hear the road noise quite a lot, but that’s what you’d expect from the location.

The owner is super helpful and the gardens are stunning. Love everything. Wish we would have stayed longer
