The staff and the room were very pleasant, a bit dated, but for the price it’s very good. The only issue is the limited power outlets; be careful, there could be risks if nothing is done.

The staff were incredibly kind. It was hot during the day, but cooler in the evening and early morning. I had booked the wrong date, but the staff handled it and I was able to stay safely. The temple Tanalot is just a short walk away. It might be the season, but there were many insects, and the staff dealt with it as needed. I was surprised to learn that entry to Tanalot costs money, and catching a Grab back was difficult; that part could be more forgiving. The cleaning could also be improved.

The price was spot‑on and everything worked out well; the beds were comfy and spotless, and the staff were very helpful. Walking to Tanah Lot for sunset and again early in the morning before the crowds was a huge plus, and there were plenty of eateries and a quirky shop nearby. The only hiccup was that Grab wouldn’t pick us up from the resort, so we had to pay a taxi—400k to Ubud—and the driver said the nearest Grab pickup point was 3km away. It’s a bit of a hassle, but once you accept that reality it’s manageable, and at least Grab can drop you off at the resort when you arrive. The shower wasn’t super hot, but it was warm enough for a decent wash.

The spot is just 250 m from the temple and sits inside the tourist area. The pool is nice and clean, and the reception is friendly. It offers great value, and there’s a big fridge. After sunset, all buses and vans leave, so it’s very quiet. The place looks a bit old‑fashioned, but that gives it a certain nostalgic charm.

This hotel is very pretty and was built many years ago—maybe 20 or 30. The grounds are gorgeous, the pool area is dreamy, and there used to be a pool bar; overall the design was executed with a lot of love. The staff are visibly attentive, very friendly, and genuinely care about our comfort. Check‑in and check‑out were hassle‑free, and the bed was excellent. The location is fantastic, right in the pedestrian zone, so you can walk to all sights, shop, or visit the many small restaurants without parking worries—there are plenty of spots. The downside is that the hotel is clearly dated and gives off a shabby, run‑down vibe. In the room, especially the bathroom, there was a strong sewage smell; we ventilated for a day to get rid of it. I blame the old fixtures and the lack of a silicone seal behind the bathtub, so water only ran down and then pooled. The wall paint was probably 30 years old and flaked off. The breakfast menu was a disaster for our taste.
