The place is in a great spot and the staff were super helpful, with no complaints; Indigo guests can use the same facilities as Intercontinental, which sits right next door.

The hotel has above‑average friendly staff whose goal is to fully satisfy guests, and the location right next to the Old Town is fantastic; using the extremely clean pool at Intercontinental next door was also excellent. However, three months before arrival we requested a two‑bedroom room on an upper floor because light was important to us, yet we were given a ground‑floor room with almost no windows that felt very dark and uncomfortable. We asked for another room, but were told there were no more two‑bed rooms on an upper floor available; that seemed odd because a request so far in advance could have been accommodated. No one checked in the upper two‑bed rooms that day, so a later change was impossible. The staff suggested a double room on an upper floor with an extra bed, which we had to wait for while it was being cleaned, but that was not a problem for us and we ended up enjoying the bright room. The staff put in a lot of effort, which we really appreciated.

The location is in the ancient town and the staff are attentive, but the breakfast selection was disappointing; there was dirt on the coffee table base and the floor appeared unvacuumed upon check‑in. On the second day after we returned at night, we had two rooms exclusively on Level 2 and crumbs and dirt outside the rooms were still present. I can't expect this from a 5‑star IHG group hotel.
