The location, flexible check‑in, and Lesli’s exceptional service were highlights. The price was unusually high. The air‑conditioner didn’t cool enough.

The spot is right where you want to be, but the air‑conditioning in the room was practically useless and barely cooled anything. The front‑desk staff took forever to open the street door, and on a couple of occasions they were sitting on the sofa and asked me to take off the lock and let them in – not something a guest should have to do.

The staff were genuinely helpful and the owner was always reachable by phone, ready to sort any issue. The downside is that the hotel sits on a rather quiet side street, which feels a bit unsafe if you have to step out after dark.
