“Average”

The room is clean and roomy, but everything is disposable—breakfast comes with plastic forks and paper plates, and the “good breakfast” really just means a few sweaty eggs, bacon, and potatoes. The windows don’t open, the bathroom could use better lighting, and the coffee in the room was undrinkable.

I can’t think of anything positive. Warning: if you arrive after 11:00 PM, the hotel says it’s overbooked and offers to arrange a room at another Hilton property for a higher rate, yet refuses to cancel your original reservation because you arrived after 11:00 PM, which could mean you unknowingly pay for two rooms. The breakfast was terribly disappointing—most items were already gone and very little was left. I filed a formal complaint, but after six weeks the issue is still unresolved.

I had absolutely nothing positive to say; everything was a disappointment.

The pool and hot tub were lovely, and the room was large, clean, and cozy.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were nice, and breakfast came free with plenty of options, so I have no complaints there. However, the staff seemed clueless about the noise that kept us up at 2 am for about 45 minutes, with lots of young people needing to sleep or being told to be quiet; it was Homecoming weekend, which probably made downtown Guelph a real mess. They have cameras in the halls, but apparently nobody was watching them; they really need to tighten security or call the cops if they face a lot of pushback.
