“FATAL, ALGO PEOR ES DIFÍCIL”

Nothing pleased me. I never received the access code, they didn’t answer the phone, and even the host couldn’t reach the manager; I finally got through by finding a mobile number because theirs was a landline, and it took over an hour and a half to get in. Inside, it felt like a house that needs a lot of love: the electronic lock was broken from the inside, the door didn’t close properly, was detached from the frame and floor (a finger could slip in), the wall paper was peeling, the armchair was uninviting, the bathroom window was dirty, the toilet lid screws were disgusting, and the door handle was broken. Additionally, getting to the accommodation was hard, with narrow, steep streets. It’s the worst place I’ve stayed at; it’s cheap but I definitely don’t recommend it, and I can’t understand how booking lists such places.

Everything was great: cleanliness, the terraces were very cool, and the kitchen and dining area were well done. The rooms had no TV.

The staff were very friendly and responsive through the chat, and the mattress was very comfortable. We only stayed for two nights just to sleep, but there was no quiet: cleaning started very early, and the noise woke us up. The hot water in the shower takes a long time to arrive and is often only lukewarm, not hot, and it doesn't flow well. The worst part was the smell—there was an unbearable odor coming from the toilet in room 5 at least.

It was a disgrace after having booked the room two months in advance; when I arrived at the property, even after speaking with the owner a bit earlier to ask if I could check in earlier, my reservation was cancelled and I was left without a place to sleep, nowhere in the village or nearby.

“Estancia estupenda en Martos.”

The house was very pretty and very clean, with everything needed for a good stay.
