“Regret staying here. Dirty. Dated. Dreadful service.”
The pools. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT A 5 star experience From South Africa. We stayed at an Oberoi, Leela Palace and Taj lake palace before we came here. We were looking forward to another lux stay. This hotel does not deserve to be in the same category as the other true 5 star hotels we stayed at. Communication with the hotel is non existent. I requested airport transfer messaging platform. Someone read my messages and said please email us on this mail ID. No!!!! What’s the point in having this platform if you aren’t using it. I couldn’t get hold of the hotel and asked the Taj lake palace to contact them. Even they struggled. The kind staff at the Taj lake palace did a lot of digging through her contacts and managed to get hold of the hotel. It was only then that someone from Itc got back to me. 1. We arrived at night and we were told that our room was upgraded to a suite. We were excited however that diminished quickly- no bath robes and dirty room. Smudges with hand prints all over the mirrors and surfaces. Caked up dust between the sides of the couch and the nook walls. So much dust under the bed. Drinking Glasses in suite had fingerprints all over. 2. We did not receive gowns in our room and had to call for this again. 3. Staff are incapable and rude. Unwelcoming. They are not attentive. Bunch of them stand around chatting at the buffet. Several times we had a stack of plates pile up because no one was clearing the used plates. It’s so hard to get their attention and when you do, they immediately look away. Are they understaffed? 4. When we stayed at the Oberoi Amarvilas, we had bottles of water, sunscreen, facial mist. Someone waiting on our slightest desire. At ITC, you get a dirty plastic cup with water covered by a piece of foil. Mine stank of stale fruits. You’re supposed to be a 5 star hotel get some reusable or once off bottles 5. The hotel feels very dated, our suite had lots of dirty marks on the walls- drip stains?
