This former hotel has been restored by a couple who run the community café and keep the village of Lacelle (between Eymoutiers and Bugeat) lively. The welcome and atmosphere are friendly, the room is comfortable (Wi‑Fi but no TV), but you’ll probably want to picnic because the kitchen available is the owners’ own. It’s a good way to keep the café and hotel alive.

The welcome was excellent; what I love most is the continuity of this place—family house, bar, restaurant, and hotel—now run by the grandson who kept the old charm. The bed was perfect with a great mattress, and I slept well. Nothing else to mention.
