“Passable si pas d'autre choix”

It was okay, given how few options there are in the area. The front‑desk clerk kindly opened several rooms so we could find one with a working chair and lamp. The bathroom wasn’t spotless, raising doubts about the rest of the place. The room was freezing because the AC was on and we couldn’t heat it without tripping the smoke detector.

The price was good. The AC in the room and the whole hotel had a musty smell.

“This would only ever be a last resort if I was to have to stay in Macon again. Unfortunately Comfort Inn was booked out,”

It was decent. The place felt old‑fashioned, with humidifiers running everywhere and a damp, musty odor. The bathroom floor needed mopping. Breakfast offered only fruit or stale baked goods. The outdoor picnic area was dirty, with three rusted grills that weren’t worth cooking on, and the woods behind the picnic spot looked sketchy, apparently a homeless hotspot.

“Ok for a quick overnight stay but really needs some updates.”

Breakfast was decent, but there were only three sausage patties left and we used two biscuits each, leaving two biscuits for the next guests and no sausage for them. The trash can was nearly full. Coffee, juice, and yogurt were good. The shower had strong pressure, hot water, and was clean. However, the only handrail was at tub level, so there was nothing to hold onto when getting in or out. One bedside lamp was broken, making the room quite dark. We liked that the window unit was easy to adjust and the fan kept running, which kept road noise from being heard. On the downside, there was only one outlet to plug into, and the toilet wobbled as if it wasn’t secured properly. The light around the mirror was very dim, making it hard to apply makeup. The light over the shower was good, but it didn’t help with the mirror.
